October 2024 in Ukraine will be warmer than usual, as evidenced by the forecast of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. According to forecasters, the average air temperature in the country will exceed long-term indicators by 1-1.5 degrees.
Air temperature
On average, the temperature in the country is expected to be from +7 to +13°C, which is 1-1.5°C higher than the norm for this period. This indicates continued warm conditions, particularly at the beginning of the month, which is not typical for October.
As for precipitation, their monthly amount, according to forecasts, will be within the norm: from 31 to 67 mm, and in the Carpathian region higher indicators are possible - up to 101 mm. This indicates that, despite the warm weather, significant deviations from the norm in the amount of precipitation are not expected.
Transition to autumn
At the end of September, a change in weather conditions is expected in Kyiv region and other northern regions, which will cause a gradual decrease in temperature. According to forecaster Nataliya Ptuha, the temperatures, which currently reach +20°...+25°C, will gradually decrease to +15°...+20°C. Also, on the weekend, an increase in the activity of atmospheric fronts is possible, which will bring coolness from the northwest.
