Syrsky stated that the situation on the front is tending to worsen

Our source reports that the situation on the front is close to collapse.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated about the difficult operational-strategic situation at the front, which has a tendency to worsen.

“I informed the coalition members about the complex operational-strategic situation, which has a tendency to escalate; the specifics of the enemy's air strikes on energy infrastructure facilities; about our urgent needs in missiles, ammunition, weapons, military equipment and the key role of their timely arrival,” he wrote on Facebook about his speech during the 21st meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense Capabilities at Ramstein Air Base.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi took part in the 21st meeting in the “Ramstein” format, as he announced on April 27.

During this meeting, President Volodymyr Zelensky, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, and Intelligence Chief Kirill Budanov spoke.

The Commander-in-Chief emphasized the complex operational-strategic situation, which tends to escalate, and the specifics of the enemy's air strikes on energy infrastructure facilities.

In addition, he noted the need of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for missiles, ammunition, weapons, and military equipment.

He also expressed gratitude to the participants and personally to the United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for his "consistent support for Ukraine.".

On the eve, Volodymyr Nazarenko, an artillery officer with the fourth brigade of the National Guard “Rubizh”, said that Russian troops near Chasovye Yar are using “maximum pressure” tactics. According to him, the Russian army is looking for weak spots along the entire front line where it can advance.

Following the Ramstein format meeting, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced the allocation of $6 billion in new military assistance to Ukraine as part of the previously adopted $61 billion support package for Ukraine.

He indicated that the US would provide Ukraine with additional Patriot missiles for its air defense systems, anti-drone equipment, artillery shells, rockets, and logistical support.
