The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, expressed his attitude to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's statement about the need to mobilize up to 450,000-500,000 people for the successful conduct of hostilities in the event of a full-scale war with Russia. After careful analysis of internal resources and clarification of the combat composition of the Armed Forces, this figure was significantly reduced.
Syrsky emphasized that currently the military takes into account not only the mobilized, but also volunteers. He emphasized the importance of understanding that soldiers are not machines, they need rest and support, especially in conditions of active combat.
Syrsky pointed out the need for recovery and rest of military personnel, in particular those who participated in combat operations in the Avdiyiv direction. After the audit of the activities of some units, it was possible to release thousands of servicemen who were sent to combat units.
It should be noted that this audit made it possible to better allocate resources and ensure the effectiveness of military operations.
