The State Bureau of Investigation has reported suspicion to the seven employees of the Kharkiv detention center, who became accomplices of the tragedy, which ended with the death of the detainee just delivered. According to the investigation, employees intentionally violated the rules of detention, which led to the cruel beating and further death of a person.
The incident occurred in April 2025. The employees of the pre -trial detention center - the former head of the institution, two operatives, another assistant chief, senior in the corps and two younger inspectors - decided to "bring up" a new suspect. He was illegally transferred to the camera with already convicted, which is explicitly forbidden by law.
A few hours after the translation, the detainee was beaten to a semi -consciousness. However, instead of calling doctors or an ambulance, the detention center left it in the camera without any help. As noted in the DBR, the actions of the staff were conscious: they were actually waiting for the victim to die.
At night, the man was killed from numerous injuries-traumatic brain, bone fracture, damage to the internal organs and soft tissues. Forensic examination confirmed that timely medical assistance could save his life.
The SIZO staff tried to hide the true circumstances of death, stating that the man was killed during a fight between the detainees. At the same time, the fact of illegal transfer and refusal of medical care was silenced.
Depending on the role of everyone, officials were informed of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

exceeding power that has caused grave consequences (Part 3 of Article 365),

leaving in danger that caused death (Part 3 of Article 135),

official negligence that caused the death of a person (Part 3 of Article 367).
Sanctions are envisaged up to 10 years in prison. Currently, the issue of taking suspects in custody is being resolved.
Separately, law enforcement officers reported suspicion to one of the convicts who directly inflicted fatal injury to the victim. His actions are qualified as a deliberate grievous bodily harm that caused death (Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
