Ukrainian defenders continue to defend their positions in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine, in particular in the Bakhmut direction, where Russian troops are conducting active combat operations. According to Volodymyr Fityo, the head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy intends to capture Chasiv Yar, and in the worst case, to take control of the entire Donetsk region.
Ukrainian defenders are now repelling attacks near Bohdanivka, where the Russian occupiers are trying to implement their "minimum plan" - to advance in the direction of Chasovoy Yar, or their "maximum plan" - the capture of the entire Donetsk region.
At this stage, the Russian troops did not manage to achieve significant success, as the Ukrainian defenders maintain an active defense. In particular, they periodically switch to counterattacks and improve their tactical position, emphasizing the need to maintain a high level of readiness.
It is worth noting that the speechwriter Fityo emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are facing serious opposition from the Russian army, which has a significant resource and a high level of equipment. He warned to treat the enemy with respect and not to underestimate him. The Russian occupiers, even with certain human losses, continue to actively study on the battlefield.
The report also states that Russian forces continue to storm Ukrainian positions in the Avdiyiv and Marin directions, indicating 4 repulsed attacks in the last day near Bohdanivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region. In the area of responsibility of the "Tavria" anti-aircraft defense system, successful actions of Ukrainian defenders, who improved their tactical position in the southeast direction from Novobakhmutivka, were also recorded.
The Russian military is trying to actively use FPV drones in the Bakhmut direction, adapting them tactically. Despite the numerical advantage in the number of drones, Ukrainian means of radio-electronic warfare are capable of reducing the effectiveness of the Russian occupiers.
