Russia is actively attacking in many areas on the front line, and this complicates the situation for the Armed Forces, Syrskyi admitted
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that after taking control of Avdiyivka, Russian forces continued their offensive, which is why the situation at the front remains difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Only since the beginning of this week, the Ukrainian military retreated from two more settlements in the vicinity of Avdiyivka, ceding even more territory in the absence of military aid from the West.
"The enemy continues active offensive actions in many directions of the front line. The situation is particularly tense in the Avdiyiv and Zaporizhzhia areas," said Sirskyi.
"My main task is to effectively use the combat capabilities of the weapons and military equipment of our units to inflict maximum losses on the enemy and destroy a significant part of his artillery and armored vehicles; to maintain our positions and restore the position where we retreated," writes Syrskyi, who is currently traveling along the front.
He reports that the Russian Federation "sometimes succeeds in certain areas."
"In order to strengthen the defense on the main routes, it is necessary to correctly distribute our reserves. When working with brigade commanders, I pay the main attention to how work is organized at control points to defeat the enemy by fire, to the timeliness and adequacy of the decisions made in accordance with the current situation, and to the support of constant interaction between units and units," said the head .
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also reported that some Ukrainian commanders had miscalculations in assessing the situation and enemy forces, which directly affected the defense in certain areas.
