Russia is actively attacking in many areas on the front line, and this complicates the situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine - Syrsky admitted
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, stated that after taking control of Avdiivka, Russian forces continued their offensive, which is why the situation at the front for the Armed Forces of Ukraine remains difficult. Since the beginning of this week alone, the Ukrainian military has retreated from two more settlements in the vicinity of Avdiivka, giving up even more territory in the absence of military assistance from the West.
"The enemy continues active offensive actions in many directions of the front line. The situation is particularly tense in the Avdiivka and Zaporizhia directions," Syrsky noted.
“My main task is to effectively use the combat capabilities of our units’ weapons and military equipment to inflict maximum losses on the enemy and destroy a significant part of his artillery and armored vehicles; to hold the positions we have occupied and restore the situation where we retreated,” writes Syrsky, who is currently traveling along the front.
He reports that the Russian Federation “sometimes has success in certain areas.”.
"To strengthen defense in the main directions, we need to competently distribute our reserves. When working with brigade commanders, I pay primary attention to how work is organized at the control points for the fire defeat of the enemy, to the timeliness and adequacy of decisions made in accordance with the current situation, and to maintaining constant interaction between units and subdivisions," the commander-in-chief said.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported that some Ukrainian commanders were found to have made miscalculations in assessing the situation and enemy forces, which directly affected the defense in certain areas.
