Despite the rapid development of technology and artificial intelligence in various fields, military experts emphasize the unwavering importance of experienced and dedicated soldiers on the front. Azov commander Denis Prokopenko, known as “Redis”, noted that war is first and foremost an art, and not just the pursuit of advanced technologies. He expressed concerns that the idea of completely replacing the military with robotic equipment could lead to stagnation in the training of soldiers.
“Technology may play a key role in the future, but the importance of infantry experience and dedication remains essential. Infantry training and discipline are crucial, especially in the context of high-tech military conflicts,” the commander emphasized.
Prokopenko also noted that engagement with a strong adversary requires well-trained and disciplined infantry, even in the context of the concept of network-centric warfare. He emphasized that in the case of ineffective infantry training, technologies can lose their effectiveness, especially in wide-front attacks.
“Even with highly developed air defense and powerful electronic warfare, many innovative technologies can be neutralized. We have our own approach to training, where the main role is played by a motivated, well-trained soldier, supported by modern equipment,” he concluded.
