The head of the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security under the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, Ihor Solovei, expressed indignation at the use of the Telegram messenger in Ukraine, comparing it to a poker game with a trickster.
According to him, Telegram carries threats from two sides - from the point of view of cyber security, and as a platform for obtaining information: "We can say with great probability that if the Russian side controls it, then it has access to the personal data of Ukrainians. In the conditions of war, this is very dangerous, because having access to at least a phone book, you can trace connections, contacts, location of people, read correspondence (even remote ones)."
We would like to remind you that since the submission of the authorities, statements about the ban or regulation of the popular Telegram messenger have not stopped sounding in the Ukrainian info field. It seems that the society is being "warmed up" with the necessary statements, before legislatively "regulating" the Telegram information field.
