Ukraine continues to experience significant temperature contrasts . On February 26, the weather in different regions of the country will differ significantly: in the west, warming is expected to reach +10°C, while in the east and north, frosts will persist even during the day .
This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
According to weather forecasters, on February 26, the temperature in western Ukraine will rise to +5…+10 degrees, which will be good news for residents of these regions. In the Kyiv region, partly cloudy weather is also expected, without precipitation, with daytime temperatures from 0 to +5 degrees, and at night -7…-12 degrees below zero. In the capital, the temperature will fluctuate within 2…4 degrees Celsius during the day, and -7…-9 degrees at night.
However, in the east and south of the country, the situation will be much more severe. In Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and other eastern regions, daytime temperatures will remain low, within -3...-8 degrees, and at night they may drop to -12...-17 degrees below zero.
Despite the warming in the west, icy roads in the northern, central, and eastern regions are expected, which could complicate traffic. The wind will be predominantly southeast, with a speed of 3-8 meters per second.
It is worth being careful on the roads and taking care of appropriate clothing in cold and frosty weather.
Recall that March 2025 in Ukraine will be warmer than the climate norm: the average temperature is expected to be within 1-7°C, which is 1-1.5°C higher than the average. There will be less precipitation than usual, which may affect soil moisture in different regions.
