The tender for the construction of a military cemetery in Kyiv region was canceled

The project of construction of a national military memorial cemetery near the village of Markhalivka, Kyiv region, is increasingly reminiscent of a place of memory, but a large -scale corruption history with elements of political struggle, neglect of public opinion and multi -billionaire appetites.

The last turn is the cancellation of the victory of Parritittebudinvest in the state tender worth UAH 1.76 billion. Formal explanation - a complaint of a competitor "Authostrada" and a decision of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. But in reality, the situation looks like another illustration of sad practice, when the memory of the dead soldiers is used as a screen for the state budget.

Residents of Markhalivka have been opposed to the construction of the cemetery on the forest area for several years. People declare deforestation, landscape violations, water pollution and complete lack of communication by the authorities. Although the community does not oppose the honor of the fallen military, it requires that everything happens transparently, without cynicism and violation of environmental standards.

However, instead of dialogue, only pathetic statements in official releases that hide shadow arrangements, new tenders and billions.

Despite the cancellation of the first part of the tender, the second stage of construction is already prepared - with an expected value of UAH 1.21 billion. Specific details of the project, as well as the names of new potential contractors, are not disclosed. There is no public presentation, discussion with the public or environmental expertise.

All this raises natural suspicions: whether it is true of respect for the heroes, or the next "development" of the budget under patriotic sauce.
