January 2025 continues to surprise Ukrainians with an unusually warm winter without snow. However, the weather remains cold due to strong winds and icy roads, especially at night.
According to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, on January 5, cloudy weather with clearings, but no precipitation, is expected in Kyiv and the region. The temperature will fluctuate:
- at night : from -4° to -6°;
- during the day : from -2° to 0°.
There is a possibility of ice on the roads in some places, so drivers should be careful. Wind southwest, 5-10 m/s.
No precipitation is expected in most of Ukraine, the weather will be cloudy with clearings. Only in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia is light snow possible. Temperature indicators:
- at night: -4°…-9°;
- during the day : -3°…+2°.
In the Carpathians it is colder: at night -9°…-14°, during the day -1°…-6°.
There is a possibility of ice on Ukrainian roads, so drivers should exercise caution.
Forecasters predict that January will remain warm with occasional cold snaps and snow. Overall, temperatures will be close to current levels.
"We expect this January to be relatively warm, with temperatures remaining almost the same as now," one of the forecasters said.
