On January 1 of this year, the deadline for the voluntary return to service of military personnel who voluntarily left their units (SZCH) ended. However, this date may not be final — Ukraine is discussing the possibility of extending the deadline for volunteers.
The idea of extending the deadline was expressed by the deputy head of the Office of the President, Iryna Vereshchuk, in her Telegram channel. She noted that the discussion of this issue has already begun with the defense committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, emphasizing the efficiency of the chairman of the committee Oleksandr Zavitnevich.
The topic was discussed at an interdepartmental meeting, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Military Law and Order Service, as well as combat units. In addition to the discussion of the date of return of the military, the meeting also raised the idea of more active involvement of recruiters from successful combat units in the process of returning soldiers to the ranks.
"If someone manages to successfully return a soldier to the ranks, then people should be allowed to work and supported in every possible way. It is necessary to avoid situations when the unit has agreed on the return of a person, and he is sent to another," said Vereshchuk.
This initiative aims to reduce barriers for those soldiers who are ready to return to service, as well as to facilitate the process of their adaptation in a combat unit.
The idea of extending the deadline for the return of the military can have a significant impact on increasing the combat capability of the army and stabilizing the military units, as experienced fighters adapt faster to the conditions of the front and can bring more benefit in the fight for the country.
Thus, the issue of extending the deadline for the voluntary return of military personnel from the SZH is becoming more and more urgent, because it can become an important step on the way to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
