According to the results of the latest sociological survey, the majority of Ukrainians do not trust territorial recruitment and social support centers. Thus, 68% of respondents stated their distrust of the TCC, while only 24% expressed trust.
For comparison: in September 2024, the level of distrust was 61%, and trust was 27%. That is, despite the government's statements about reforming the draft system and attempts to change the public image of the institution after high-profile scandals, citizens' trust continues to fall.
The Verkhovna Rada has even worse indicators: 76% of respondents do not trust the parliament, and only 19% trust it. The new government headed by Yulia Svyrydenko also has a low level of support: 30% of respondents do not trust the Cabinet of Ministers, 28% trust it, and 42% have not yet decided on their attitude.
Why don't Ukrainians trust the CCC?
Experts name several key reasons:
-
Corruption and scandals. High-profile cases involving "millionaire military commissars," illegal service of summonses, and harsh methods of detention have created an extremely negative attitude in society.
-
Lack of transparent communication. Citizens often do not understand the principles of the CCC's work, mobilization rules, and ways to appeal decisions. This breeds fear, rumors, and distrust.
Experts emphasize: the authorities must make a choice - either ignore public sentiment or carry out real reform, transforming the CCC system into one that is transparent and understandable for citizens, where the protection of human rights will be a priority.
