In the Volchansk direction, the activity of Russian troops has increased several times over the past week and a half. The enemy is conducting intensive assault operations along the entire section of the state border, trying to break through the defenses and enter new territories of the Kharkiv region.
This was reported by Senior Lieutenant, Head of the Media Relations Group of the GART Brigade, Oleksandr Danylenko. According to him, the Russian command is trying to break through the border in new places, in particular, with the aim of capturing the positions of Ukrainian units.
The military stressed that the enemy is attracting significant human resources for assaults, but Ukrainian forces are successfully repelling attacks. Aerial reconnaissance plays an important role in this, detecting the formation of assault groups on Russian territory before they directly advance to the border.
Artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and strike drones operate behind enemy units. As a result, breakthrough attempts suffer losses and do not give the enemy the desired result.
Amid the aggravation of the situation in the north of Kharkiv region, analysts also note the stable defense of Ukrainian forces in the Kupyansk direction. According to military experts, the Armed Forces of Ukraine control both the right and left banks of Kupyansk, despite constant pressure from Russian troops.
Russian sabotage groups periodically try to penetrate the urban area, but their numbers remain limited. The remnants of assault units hide in the ruins, avoiding open fighting, which makes it difficult to detect them, but does not allow them to change the overall situation in favor of the Russian Federation.
It is also confirmed that Ukrainian units control the center of Kupyansk and continue to clear the city, responding to drone attacks and attempts at combat contact by the enemy.
