The administrator of the popular Telegram channel, based in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, was found guilty of stealing money collected as charitable contributions for the needs of the military. According to the accusation, it turned out to be a resident of Kyiv, who presented herself as a volunteer and collected funds for military needs.
The suspect illegally collected money for military equipment, cars and quadcopters. She posted her bank card details and then appropriated the donations.
During six months, the woman collected almost 1 million hryvnias from citizens.
During the search of her apartment, law enforcement officers seized computer equipment, a mobile phone and money. The woman was detained and charged with illegal use of charitable donations during martial law in accordance with Article 201-2 of Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the issue of a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
