Today, Russian invaders again attacked Ukrainian territory using missiles and kamikaze drones. Air defense forces shot down 24 out of 25 UAVs.
This was reported by the Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk.
It is noted that in total, the occupiers launched the following into Ukraine that night:
an Iskander-K cruise missile – from occupied Crimea towards the Kharkiv region, an
S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile – from the occupied part of Donetsk region,
and 25 “Shaheeds” – from Cape Chauda (occupied Crimea), the Yeisk and Primorsky-Akhtarsk regions in the Russian Federation.
The general said that this air strike was repelled by fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and electronic warfare equipment was also involved.
Oleschuk clarified that enemy strike drones were destroyed in the territory of 8 regions.
“During the night, the defenders of the sky shot down 24 “shaheeds” in Mykolaiv, Odessa, Kherson, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Vinnytsia regions,” the air force commander reported.
