As of November 2024, the average salary in Ukraine reached UAH 22.5 thousand. Over the year, this figure has grown from UAH 18 thousand, which indicates a gradual increase in incomes, despite the difficult economic situation in the country.
According to one of the major recruitment portals, the greatest salary growth is observed in the field of content management, as well as in highly skilled professions such as orthodontists and ceramists.
Top 10 professions with the fastest salary growth:
- Head of Content Department — 70,000 UAH (+155%)
- Orthodontist — UAH 52,500 (+110%)
- Ceramist — 50,000 UAH (+96%)
- Amusement park operator — 20,000 UAH (+74%)

Such growth may be due to both increased demand for specialists in these areas and changing labor market conditions.
The level of salaries also significantly depends on the region. The highest rates are traditionally recorded in large cities:
- Lviv — 22.8 thousand UAH
- Kyiv — 22.5 thousand UAH
- Dnipro — 21.5 thousand UAH
- Odessa and Chernivtsi — 21 thousand UAH
In contrast, the lowest average incomes are observed in Sumy (15.8 thousand UAH), Kropyvnytskyi and Chernihiv (17.5 thousand UAH each).
Against the backdrop of rising average wages, the Ukrainian government has introduced a new requirement for critical enterprises. According to Resolution No. 1332, employees who qualify for reservation from mobilization must receive a salary of at least 2.5 minimum wages (UAH 20,000) during the last quarter.
This innovation is aimed at encouraging salary transparency and improving employee well-being in key industries.
