The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit with the Commercial Court to terminate the lease agreement for a land plot with an area of almost 4 hectares in the Dnipro district of the capital. The Kyiv City Council provided the company with the land near the Brovary ring road in 2008 for the construction of a residential complex, but work has never begun.
As reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office, the lease agreement was renewed in 2021, but the developer continued to violate its terms. The land was intended for the construction of residential buildings, utility buildings, and social infrastructure facilities, but for more than 15 years, not a single object has appeared on it.
In addition to the disruption of construction, the company systematically failed to pay rent. According to the prosecutor's office, the debt amounts to almost 400 thousand hryvnias.
In this regard, the prosecutor's office, in the interests of the state, represented by the Kyiv City Council, appealed to the court with a demand to collect the debt, terminate the lease agreement, and return the plot, the market value of which is estimated at about 62 million hryvnias.
The Commercial Court of Kyiv has already opened proceedings in the case.
