The cause of the explosion on the Zhytomyr highway could have been damage to an underground warehouse – media

Military experts say the probable cause of the explosions that caused destruction on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop highway near Zhytomyr is the destruction of an underground ammunition depot. This is reported by the publication 360ua.news .

The incident occurred on July 2 at around 6:00 PM near the village of Berezyna in the Hlybochytska community, near which numerous gas stations are located, so initially there were reports of gas station explosions, which were later not confirmed.

There has been no official comment on the cause of the explosions at this time, and competent authorities are working at the scene. According to Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Viktor Mykyta, the situation is under the personal control of Volodymyr Zelensky.
