Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) reported the suspicion to the company commander of one of the military units in the Rivne region. He is suspected of illegally charging monetary payments, including so-called "combat payments", to a subordinate who was absent from duty.

The deputy company commander was at home in Rivne from October 2022 to April 2023, and according to the documents, she was allegedly in a military unit and was allegedly serving.
The company commander did not take into account the absence of a subordinate at the service site and allowed her to be unjustifiably charged monetary payments in the total amount of more than 777 thousand hryvnias. Including surcharges for allegedly being in a war zone.
The military officer was informed of the suspicion of careless attitude to the service, which led to serious consequences, committed under martial law (Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of up to 8 years.
Searches were conducted at the place of residence of the deputy company commander in Rivne. Measures are being taken to compensate the state for damages.
