The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing for new personnel rotations as part of the implementation of the military management reform. As Glavkom reports with reference to Military, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi, may soon head the newly created army corps.
It is known that the issue of changing Sukharevskiy's position has been under consideration in the General Staff for several months. The colonel headed the Unmanned Systems Forces immediately after their creation in 2024. The structure has become a new element of the defense capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the backdrop of the evolution of combat operations and the active use of drones at the front.
It is not yet clear which corps Sukharevskiy may lead. Currently, new army corps are being formed within the Land Forces, Airborne Assault Forces, and Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky, the reform involves a transition to a "corps structure," which will increase command flexibility and battlefield effectiveness. This was first officially announced on February 3, 2025.
For now, Sukharevskiy retains the position of head of the Unmanned Systems Forces, but personnel changes may occur in the near future as part of a general restructuring.
