On the night of April 17, an explosion occurred in one of the settlements of the Pishchansk community of Vinnytsia region during a conflict between local residents. As a result, two men were injured. This was reported by the Vinnytsia region police.
According to law enforcement, the incident occurred around midnight. While investigating the relationship between several men, a fight broke out, during which an unknown object exploded.
"As a result of the explosion, two citizens, aged 48 and 50, received injuries. One of them is undergoing outpatient treatment, the other is hospitalized in a medical facility," the police reported.
An investigative and operational group was working at the scene. The seized material evidence has been sent for examination. Law enforcement officers are currently establishing the type and origin of the explosive device.
The police have opened a criminal case. The perpetrators face up to 7 years in prison.
Against the backdrop of the worsening security situation in the region, this is not the first incident related to explosions. We will remind, earlier the SBU detained Russian intelligence agents who were preparing terrorist attacks in Vinnytsia. The attackers planned to plant explosives in a thermos and blow up a military vehicle and a police administrative building.
The investigation into both cases is ongoing.
