The High Anti-Corruption Court has declared the assets of the family of the former head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Odessa region worth over UAH 5.3 million unfounded. These are two luxury cars that were purchased at prices that did not correspond to the real market value. This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the National Anti-Corruption Commission and the State Bureau of Investigation.
As the NACP established during the lifestyle monitoring process, the family of the former head of the State Traffic Safety Administration purchased a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 (2018 model) for only UAH 300,000 and an Audi RSQ8 (2020 model) for UAH 1.4 million. According to the agency's estimates, the real market value of these cars was significantly higher.
Later, the family sold the Audi RSQ8 at market price and used the proceeds to purchase a new car — a BMW X7 xDrive.
The court, having considered the claim of the SAPO prosecutor, partially satisfied it. The Toyota Land Cruiser and part of the cost of the Audi — over UAH 2.8 million — were recovered from the state revenue. The decision can be appealed within 30 days after the full text is published.
The name of the person involved is not officially disclosed. At the same time, sources of LIGA.net report that this is Ruslan Khvan, who at different times headed tax departments in Odessa and Lviv regions. Until May 2024, he worked as the head of the State Tax Service in Odessa region, and until April 2025, he was the deputy head of the Lviv tax department.
