According to the SBU, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) initiated a lawsuit through the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) to the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to recognize the assets of Vitaliy Nikushyn, a judge of the Kyiv-Svyatoshyn District Court of Kyiv region, as unfounded.
According to the results of monitoring the judge's lifestyle conducted by the NACP, it was found that in 2022–2023, Nikushyn purchased three cars at prices significantly lower than market prices:
-
MERCEDES-BENZ G 350 TD 2013 — for 10 thousand UAH, with a market value of over 2.1 million UAH;
-
MERCEDES-BENZ G 500 2013 - for 529 thousand UAH, while the market price is about 685 thousand UAH;
-
RENAULT ZOE 2017 - for 5 thousand UAH, with an expert estimate of 431.5 thousand UAH.
An audit of the income of the judge and his family members showed that there were no legal sources for purchasing such cars.
The SAPO filed a lawsuit against the Supreme Administrative Court demanding to recover the following from the state:
-
MERCEDES-BENZ G 350 TD;
-
part of the cost of RENAULT ZOE;
-
funds in the judge's bank accounts.
The total amount of unsubstantiated assets exceeds UAH 3.3 million.
If the court decides to seize assets, Vitaliy Nikushyn will be subject to dismissal from the position of judge.
