The Brovary District Court of Kyiv Region has sentenced a 54-year-old man who shot and killed two people while intoxicated. The court imposed a sentence of 15 years in prison for double murder. The Kyiv Region Police reported this.
The tragedy occurred in March 2022 in one of the settlements of the Brovary district. The couple visited a friend to congratulate them. Her roommate, who was drunk, was also in the house. When the guests were about to leave, the man suddenly took out a hunting rifle and opened fire.
He shot the man in the chest and then the woman in the neck. Both died at the scene before paramedics arrived.
Investigators of the Brovary District Police Department of the Kyiv Region, together with the regional prosecutor's office, informed the attacker of suspicion under Clause 1, Part 2, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - the intentional murder of two people.
The case was taken to court, and after reviewing the materials, the perpetrator was found guilty. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He is currently in custody.
