The Ukrainian state has regained control over a strategic facility — part of the Samara-Western Direction oil pipeline, located in Transcarpathia. The Commercial Court of the Transcarpathian region made the corresponding decision.
The lawsuit was filed by the State Property Fund of Ukraine. The defendants in the case were three companies: the Swiss International Trading Partners AG, the Ukrainian LLC "Prykarpatzakhidtrans" and the South-Western Joint-Stock Company for Pipeline Transport of Oil Products, registered in Russia. It is known that the case is connected with the entourage of pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk.
The court declared the purchase and sale agreement concluded on October 4, 2018 between Prykarpatzakhidtrans LLC and a Swiss company invalid, and ordered the return to the state of all property covered by this agreement.
This is a technological pipeline complex located in the village of Rossosh, Svalyavsky district. The list of transferred property includes, in particular, industrial units, pumping stations, tanks, an ozone plant, technological wells, a slag accumulator, and underground steel tanks.
This decision is an important step towards regaining control over key infrastructure previously controlled by private companies linked to Russian or offshore entities. According to experts, the return of this asset is not only a legal victory, but also a significant strengthening of Ukraine's energy security.
The State Property Fund continues legal work to return other objects that may have previously been under the control of individuals close to pro-Russian forces.
