A court in Chernihiv region sentenced a 40-year-old blogger to five years in prison for publicly calling for disrupting mobilization and forcibly resisting employees of territorial recruitment centers. The Chernihiv Regional CCC reported on the sentence.
The man ran a YouTube channel with over 7.6 thousand subscribers, turning it into a platform for spreading destructive propaganda. Under the guise of "consultations", he explained to the audience how to counteract the lawful actions of the CCC and SP employees, formed a negative attitude towards the military and openly incited aggression.
According to the CCC, the blogger's content contained direct calls for the use of force against representatives of the mobilization bodies. This was confirmed by linguistic expertise of the Security Service of Ukraine, which revealed clear wording in the video aimed at obstructing the activities of military structures.
Based on the materials of the SBU, the court found the man guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The first is Part 1 of Article 114-1, which provides for liability for obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period. The second is Part 1 of Article 161, which concerns intentional actions aimed at violating the equality of citizens on national, racial or religious grounds.
The blogger was sentenced to five years in prison. This is one of the most notable sentences in recent times related to anti-mobilization propaganda, which is actively spreading on social networks and video platforms.
