Cradle with one-month-old baby falls from car in Lviv: father faces prison

An incident occurred in Lviv that shocked the city: a man left a cradle with his one-month-old son on the roof of his car and drove away. As a result, the child fell to the side of the road and was injured.

On September 5, on Kozatska Street, a 47-year-old Lviv man, getting ready to hit the road, put a bassinet with a baby on the roof of his Volkswagen Passat. Forgetting about the child, he started the car and drove off. While driving, the bassinet fell right onto the side of the road. The driver himself didn't even notice this and continued driving.

Passersby immediately stopped to help the boy and called the police and an ambulance. Doctors diagnosed the toddler with bruises and other injuries, after which the child was hospitalized.

The police quickly identified the father and his whereabouts. Investigators informed him of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - leaving him in danger. The man faces up to two years in prison.

Law enforcement officers emphasize that even a brief moment of inattention by adults can have fatal consequences for children. In this case, a tragedy was avoided, but the child suffered serious stress and injuries.
