The deadline for voluntary return of servicemen who voluntarily left their units (SZCh) to service expired on January 1 of this year. However, this date may not be final - Ukraine is discussing the possibility of extending the deadline for volunteers.
The idea of extending the term was expressed by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Vereshchuk in her Telegram channel. She noted that discussions on this issue have already begun with the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, emphasizing the efficiency of the committee chairman Oleksandr Zavitnevich.
The topic was discussed at an interdepartmental meeting, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Military Law and Order Service, as well as combat units. In addition to discussing the timing of the return of the military, the meeting also raised the idea of more actively involving recruiters from successful combat units in the process of returning fighters to service.
"If someone manages to successfully return a soldier to service, then people should be given the opportunity to work and supported in every way. It is worth avoiding situations where a unit has agreed to return a person, but they are sent to another," Vereshchuk noted.
This initiative aims to reduce barriers for those military personnel who are ready to return to service, as well as facilitate their adaptation process in a combat unit.
The idea of extending the deadline for the return of military personnel could have a significant impact on increasing the combat capability of the army and stabilizing military units, as experienced fighters adapt faster to frontline conditions and can bring more benefit in the fight for the country.
Thus, the issue of extending the deadline for the voluntary return of military personnel from the North-West Frontier is becoming increasingly relevant, as this could be an important step towards strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
