According to the declaration, , owns a Toyota Prado. But this is not the only car he uses or flaunts. Honest employees of the prosecutor's office report that he can usually be seen driving a Toyota Land Cruiser 200, which is registered to the brother of the Chernihiv regional council deputy from the People's Party of Ukraine, Ihor Bazalinsky. The latter has been living in Turkey since the beginning of the full-scale war.
What do Gerasymenko and Ihor Bazalinsky have in common? They also explained to us. It turns out that Prosecutor Gerasymenko is a cadre from the time of Poroshenko's presidency. It was in 2018 that he was lobbied by a Verkhovna Rada deputy from the presidential party for a position in the Nizhyn city prosecutor's office (his last name is known, but for now we will omit it for further publications - ed.). And everything happened at the suggestion of Bazalinsky, who at that time was a deputy from the BPP - Petro Poroshenko's bloc in the regional council. When Zelensky came to power, and Bazalinsky was elected to the regional council from the OPZZH, Pavlo Gerasymenko did not go down, but on the contrary, up and in 2021 headed the newly created Chernihiv District Prosecutor's Office. His main task in the position is to protect the alcohol industry, which was represented in Chernihiv by Bazalinsky and the Chernihiv Distillery headed by him.
As for Igor Bazalinsky, he is a hired manager for the care of the business, which, according to open sources, belongs to Oleksiy Chebotaryov, who was very close to the Yanukovych family and former Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko.
Since 2014, Chebotaryov has been wanted, he is accused of organizing murders during the Revolution of Dignity, and according to the investigation, he is hiding in the territory of the Russian Federation, where he moved to track down other fugitives. But as we can see, this does not prevent him from continuing to conduct business in Ukraine and Chernihiv in particular. Moreover, through his representatives, he arranges for prosecutors to cover up the illegal alcohol business.
According to prosecutors, Pavlo Gerasimenko, before the start of the full-scale war, was protecting alcohol dealers in Chernihiv and the region. All their deals with the circulation of illegal alcohol and products made from it were not even recorded. Usually, they caught small things for the sake of indicators, but everyone knew through whom and how large batches of alcohol were coming in and at which enterprise the counterfeit was being produced. But thanks to prosecutor Gerasimenko, going there was taboo.
With the outbreak of the war, everything changed. As you already know, Igor Bazalinsky left Chernihiv for Turkey. But prosecutor Gerasimenko's connection with the alcohol industry remained, as did some benefits in the form of a Toyota Land Cruiser 200.
