Kindergarten teacher and postal worker receive defense contracts worth 45 million

Over the past six months, the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration has concluded defense contracts worth almost 45 million hryvnias with individual entrepreneurs who had no experience in supplying goods to the military, NGL.media reports, citing public sources and registers.

Among the contractors is Kateryna Svintsytska, a kindergarten teacher in Fastiv. Back in May 2023, she publicly complained about her low salary, and in September she became an individual entrepreneur, after which a month later she received her first defense order for UAH 3.4 million. In total, in six months she signed contracts for UAH 5.1 million.

An even larger case is Roman Sadovsky, also from Fastiv, who previously worked at Novaya Poshta and the railway. After registering as an entrepreneur, he signed a contract for UAH 14.8 million, and the total amount of his orders amounted to UAH 18.8 million. Journalists note that there are personal ties between Sadovsky and Svincytska.

Also included in the list of suppliers are Alina Virnyk and Valeriy Bileka, half-brother and sister. All four contractors are from Fastiv. The publication estimates the total amount of orders received by these individuals at almost 45 million UAH.

The contracts were concluded without tenders and were not published on Prozorro. This made open control by the public impossible, which calls into question the transparency and validity of the decisions made by the Zaporizhzhia OVA.

Journalists are calling on law enforcement to verify the validity of such agreements and the sources of supplies within the framework of the state defense order.
