Over the past day, civilian energy infrastructure in Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions has come under enemy fire.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, as a result of shelling in the Sumy region, the equipment and shelter of an energy facility were seriously damaged. The shelling led to the loss of power to several substations. As a result of the attack, a 54-year-old employee of the enterprise - a driver - died. Seven more employees were injured and were hospitalized.
In Zaporizhia region, an overhead line was damaged as a result of shelling, which caused a power outage at substations. However, consumers in this region did not experience any power outages.
In Chernihiv region, shelling led to the shutdown of overhead lines and the loss of power to 413 subscribers in six settlements.
The Ministry of Energy continues to monitor the situation and ensure the restoration of energy infrastructure.
