The Ukrainian women's sabre fencing team achieved a historic victory at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, becoming champions of the team tournament. This triumph not only brought Ukraine its first gold medal at the Olympics, but also became a symbol of national pride and the high level of Ukrainian sports.

Ukraine won its first Olympic gold in Paris thanks to its women's sabre fencing team. In the final, our athletes beat South Korea 45:42, becoming the winners of the team tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Ukrainian team was represented by Olga Kharlan, Olena Kravatska, Alina Komashchuk and Yulia Bakastova. Kharlan, Komashchuk and Bakastova fenced in the decisive match.

On the way to the final, the Ukrainian saber fencers defeated Italy in the quarterfinals (45:37), and later Japan in the semifinals (45:32), securing a medal.
