The Ukrainian Defense Forces have stopped massive assaults by the Russian army in the east and south of the country in the past 24 hours. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of October 2, 102 clashes have been recorded. The fiercest fighting continues in the Pokrovsky and Novopavlovsk directions.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian soldiers stopped two enemy attacks, and another clash is ongoing.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the Russian army tried six times to break through the defenses near Vovchansk, Vovchanskiye Khutory, and Kamyanka.
In the Kupyansk direction, the invaders stormed positions near Kupyansk and Boguslavka three times.
In the Lymansky direction, there were five attacks in the areas of Kolodyaz, Shandryholovy, Torsky, and Drobyshevy. Two battles are still ongoing.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy tried to advance three times near Yampol and Ivano-Daryivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, two enemy attacks were recorded in the areas of Chasovy Yar and Predtechyny.
In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped 11 assaults, including near Toretsk, Shcherbinivka, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the enemy carried out a record 28 assaults, trying to break through the areas of Volodymyrivka, Novomykolaivka, Molodetsky and a number of other settlements. Another fierce battle is currently underway there.
In the Novopavlivske direction, the enemy attacked 19 times near Novokhatske, Komyshuvakha, Sichneve, and Berezovoye. Eight clashes are still ongoing.
Fighting was also recorded in the Hulyaipil (4 assaults), Orikhiv (3 attacks), and Prydniprovs'ky directions (3 attacks near the Antonivskyi Bridge).
