The heat supply enterprise of the city of Starokostyantyniv in Khmelnytskyi region has successfully completed the installation and connection to the grid of a cogeneration unit, which was purchased with funds from USAID Ukraine under the USAID Energy Security Project. This unit is equipped with a gas piston engine and simultaneously generates heat and electricity to provide electricity to the city's boiler houses. This solution ensures uninterrupted heat supply to critical and social facilities and apartment buildings. The project is being implemented jointly with USAID and is aimed at introducing small and medium-sized cogeneration systems and supporting energy efficiency in local district heating systems, as well as conducting legal reforms to ensure technical optimization and environmental sustainability.
