First Deputy Minister of Education Yevhen Kudryavets purchased a Mercedes electric car for UAH 2.4 million, an amount that almost doubles his annual salary. During his time at the ministry, the official's family became the owners of two German premium cars, and the official himself is among the leaders in the number of foreign business trips.
In June 2025, Yevhen Kudryavets bought a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 electric car. The cost of the car reached 2.4 million hryvnias, which is almost twice as much as his official annual salary at the Ministry of Education and Science, which last year was 1.37 million hryvnias.
This is not the first purchase of a premium vehicle in the official's family. In November 2022, Kudryavets and his wife became co-owners of a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4MATIC for UAH 3.3 million. In addition, he uses a 2016 Toyota Highlander, leased from the private enterprise Agronaftaservice.
At the same time, the official demonstrates high activity in foreign trips. In just nine months of 2025, he made at least 12 international trips, visiting the USA, Denmark, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, Austria and Iceland, some countries twice. Over the previous three years, he was reimbursed more than UAH 5 million from the state budget for travel expenses.
As analysts point out, the official's official income contrasts significantly with the spending style and level of consumption demonstrated by the family during his tenure.
