Full-fledged studies began in the underground school in Kharkiv on May 13, the Kharkiv City Council reports.
The first underground school opened in the city's Industrial District. Currently, 230 children study there.
The training will be conducted in a blended format, similar to the organization of classes in the metro. Some classes will be conducted remotely, while others will be conducted in person. A national multi-subject test is also planned.
There are three lessons for junior grades and four for seniors. Starting in September, the number of students is planned to increase to 900, of which more than 200 are first-graders.
The conditions in the underground school are similar to a regular school: there are classrooms, a resource room for consultations with a psychologist, a pedagogical workshop, a cafeteria, and a medical office.
