The construction project of GORO Mountain Resort in Slavska community of Lviv region is accompanied by a large-scale information campaign. Business representatives announce investments of 140 million euros and the creation of a ski resort with one of the longest cable cars in the country.
At the same time, questions have arisen regarding land decisions and the use of the territories of the state forest fund surrounding the project. In particular, this concerns the lands of the State Enterprise "Slavske Forestry", as well as the technical documentation developed by LLC "Geoarch Project". According to open registers of court decisions, certain documents appear in criminal proceedings related to possible abuse and falsification of data.
Special attention is paid to land plots outside the village of Volosyanka. In 2019, part of the territories with a total area of about 44 hectares was registered as land for personal farming. Subsequently, these plots ended up in the ownership of a legal entity associated with business structures participating in the implementation of the resort project.
The materials also mention personnel changes in local government bodies that occurred after the change in community leadership. Opponents of the development believe that this influenced the adoption of land decisions, but there are currently no official conclusions from law enforcement agencies on this matter.
According to a public cadastral map, part of the land used for the project previously belonged to the forest fund. Critics claim that in some cases there may have been changes in the boundaries and purpose of the plots. At the same time, business representatives insist that all procedures were carried out in accordance with current legislation.
As of today, information about possible violations is being verified within the framework of open criminal proceedings. Final legal assessments are to be provided by the competent authorities.
