As our sources report, the court will deny the appeal of former Kyiv City Council Chairman Volodymyr Bondarenko and uphold the decision to send the politician under 24-hour house arrest.
Moreover, according to the source, at the next court hearing in the Bondarenko case, his preventive measure of 24-hour house arrest will be extended for another 60 days.
As a reminder, the State Bureau of Investigation informed Bondarenko of the suspicion that the former official was paying the salary of his mobilized colleague Ihor Khatskevich and asked him to be sent to work at the city council, where there were no positions to be filled by military personnel. As a result, the man was able to avoid service, and the state suffered losses of over 690 thousand hryvnias.
Commenting on the suspicion, Bondarenko noted that he “views the actions of law enforcement officers solely as a continuation of political pressure.”
