Apartments and cruise boat of former head of Darnytsia RDA may be confiscated

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to declare assets worth over UAH 7 million, which belong to the family of the former head of the Darnytsia District State Administration of Kyiv, unfounded. This was reported by "Law and Business" with reference to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP).

These are two apartments with a total area of almost 170 sq. m in a residential complex in the capital, two non-residential premises with an area of 220 sq. m and a cruise boat "Bayliner 245 SB", manufactured in 2007. The total value of the assets is about 7.2 million UAH.

During the verification of the declaration, the NACP established that the official's wife acquired these assets in 2020–2021, but the declarant himself had the right to dispose of the real estate and the boat.

The national agency analyzed the family's income and expenses and concluded that these assets could not have been acquired legally.

According to Article 290 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine, assets may be seized in favor of the state by decision of the Supreme Court of Justice.
