Former prosecutor of Sumy region Valentyn Zherebkin lives much more affluently than one would expect from official declarations. His estate includes a house with an area of 377 sq.m., five land plots and several apartments in Sumy, Kharkiv and Kyiv. Added to this is a fleet of cars consisting of Mercedes and Toyota.
According to sources, Zherobkin received UAH 2.5 million from his father, which indicates family support in financial matters. Despite this, the former prosecutor's declarations often disappear or are supplemented later, creating questionable transparency regarding his income and assets.
Valentin Zherebkin's career continues to develop: he currently holds a position related to the protection of Ukraine's forests. Experts draw attention to the inequality between official incomes and the level of property, as well as to possible risks to the reputation of state structures.
The public and journalists emphasize the need for careful control over the income and assets of civil servants to avoid opacity and corruption risks.
