In Ukraine, a gradual increase in daytime air temperatures will begin on January 21. At the same time, nighttime frosts will still be noticeable. According to weather forecasters, more noticeable warming is predicted at the end of the month, when daytime temperatures in some regions may reach zero values and even weak "pluses".
In the coming days, the weather in the country will be determined by an anticyclone, so no significant precipitation is expected. Dry and sunny weather will prevail. At night, the air temperature will drop to -10…-17 degrees, while during the day the thermometer will rise to -4…-8 degrees. In the north, frosts of up to -10 degrees during the day are possible in some places, and in the south the temperature may approach zero.
A change in wind direction to southwest and south is expected, which will contribute to the weakening of frosts.
In Kyiv, the forecast is -12…-14 degrees at night, and about -6…-8 degrees during the day. No precipitation is expected, but icy roads will remain, so drivers and pedestrians are advised to be careful.
According to weather forecasters, from January 22, frosts in Ukraine will weaken by another 2–4 degrees. No significant precipitation is forecast from January 20 to 22, only light snow is possible in the southwest. At night, the temperature will be -9…-17 degrees, during the day - -4…-11, and in the southern regions and Transcarpathia it will be warmer - up to 0…-5 degrees.
In the second half of the week, January 23–24, light snow is possible, with occasional rain and ice. A sharp warming is not yet predicted, and forecasters will be able to assess the final weather trends in February closer to the end of January.
