The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, has launched an audit of the defense forces due to the identification of thousands of servicemen who have not yet taken part in combat operations. This was announced by the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, during the broadcast of the program “Topic from Moseichuk”.
According to Arakhamia, the audit identified entire units of Ukrainian military that had not participated in combat operations during the two years of the war. He emphasized that there are thousands of such soldiers.
“Approximately 8,000 people have already been identified who were simply assigned to the General Staff and did not participate in combat operations,” he said, adding that after the audit is completed, this figure will be significantly higher.
The deputy also noted that these units have already received orders and are preparing to go to the front for replacement or reinforcement.
“What benefits will we have from this? This is an internal reserve. Moreover, it will also reduce the need for mobilization. This is also good news for society, since keeping the economy going is important,” Arakhamia added.
