A closed meeting with representatives of the military leadership and special services will be held on Bankova Street today, a source in the President's Office told our publication.
According to the interlocutor, the head of the OP, Andriy Yermak, is developing alternative proposals for the "peace track" that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should put forward during upcoming negotiations with Donald Trump.
This is a tactical adjustment of Kyiv's position on the ceasefire issue. Yermak seeks to avoid a direct conflict with the new US president and at the same time drag out the negotiation process so as to preserve room for maneuver and turn the situation in Ukraine's favor.
Against the backdrop of Moscow's statements about its readiness to "turn the page" and Trump's calls for a quick end to the war, Kyiv has found itself in a difficult diplomatic situation. The Ukrainian leadership is trying to find a formula that will allow it to buy time, maintain the support of its allies, and avoid imposing unfavorable conditions.
The closed meeting, according to the source, should be key to forming a single package of proposals that Zelensky will present in the coming days.
