Olena Gomon, Deputy General Director of Kyivzelenbud for Landscape Architecture and Design, purchased an apartment in Kyiv for 1.2 million hryvnias during the war. However, her official biography and previous career remain a mystery. This is reported by the TG channel Absolution Leaks.
There is no information about Gomon on the Kyivzelenbud website. It is only known that she came to work in 2023, but where she worked before is unknown.
The criteria for her appointment to the high position remain unclear, raising questions about the transparency of personnel decisions in the city government.
According to the declaration, on August 29, 2022, Gomon purchased an apartment with an area of 73.7 m² in Kyiv for UAH 1.18 million. Half of the property belongs to her father, Andriy Gomon.
In 2023, the official earned UAH 451,000, or about UAH 37,500 per month. No other income or savings were indicated in the declaration, which raises the question of the origin of the funds for the apartment.
The official's father, Andriy Gomon, together with Svitlana Gomon, previously owned the company “ARCH-I-TERRA,” which was engaged in architectural activities.
The company was registered at 18 Bogatyrska St., apt. 83, but later ceased operations.
Questions without answers
- On what grounds was Olena Gomon appointed to a high position?
- Where did the funds come from to buy an apartment during the war?
- Is her work at Kyivzelenbud related to the family architectural business?
There are no answers yet, but the situation looks like another example of non-transparent personnel appointments and possible abuses in the Kyiv authorities.
