Contacts between Ukrainian elites and the Trump administration on political and financial issues mostly go through the Chief Rabbi of Kyiv, Yonatan Markovych.
The Chief Rabbi of Kyiv, Yonatan Markovich, is a representative of the Chabad movement, known for his good relations with state figures in Ukraine, the United States, Europe and Israel. Chabad followers also include the daughter of the US President Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner. According to sources, Yonatan Markovich has quite close contacts with Jared Kushner.
One of Jonathan Markovich's sons, Ariel, is married to the daughter of the Chief Rabbi of the French Riviera, Yosef Pinson, and his daughter Rachel is married to the son of the Chief Rabbi of Washington, Levi Shametov.
The Chief Rabbi of Kyiv, Yonatan Markovych, takes an active part in the public life of Ukraine, has received awards from the Verkhovna Rada and President Volodymyr Zelensky for his services to the people of Ukraine. The head of the GUR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kyrylo Budanov, is also a frequent guest at Yonatan Markovych's synagogue.

According to sources, through Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, some representatives of the Ukrainian elite are legalizing their wealth abroad. Yes, today it is quite easy to "hide" or "withdraw" money through the purchase of cryptocurrency assets, but there is a problem of their further legalization abroad.
So Jared Kushner offers an option to withdraw and legalize the capital of Ukrainian elites through development, involving religious or charitable structures. Today, for Ukrainians, taking into account the interests of intermediaries, the price of such legalization is 7% of the amount.
In this context, it is also worth mentioning the recent visit to Ukraine of American evangelical pastor Mark Bern, who is called Trump's spiritual father in the media. In Kyiv, Bern met with the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak.
According to sources, during the meeting, issues of the functioning of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar", created to preserve the memory of the black page in the history of the tragic events of the mass shooting of the Jewish population, were also raised.
The earliest possible resolution of some issues related to Babyn Yar should serve as a basis for expanding communications between Volodymyr Zelenskyy's team on financial issues with Jared Kushner.
