The head of the Dnipropetrovsk region's migration service received military benefits while working in the office

The head of the main department of the State Migration Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Bohdan Chehil, and his wife Diana Chehil have been using real estate and cars belonging to third parties for years. This was reported by the anti-fraud project “190”.

According to journalists, the official's family does not own real estate. Bohdan Chehil, his wife and daughter have been registered in a 14 square meter room in Dnipro since 2017. This is probably an office room in a dormitory, which he received while working as a prosecutor.

At the same time, since 2020, the family has been using an apartment and two parking spaces in Dnipro, owned by citizen Yaroslav Menzhul. The terms of use of this property and the relationship between the owner and the Chegil family are not specified in the material.

Cars and income

In 2024, the official's wife, Diana Chehil, purchased a 2018 Audi Q7 for almost 1.3 million hryvnias. Bohdan Chehil himself does not have his own car and uses his wife's car.

In addition, the woman uses a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta car, which belongs to citizen Serhiy Barinov. According to Diana Chegil, she uses this car on the basis of a vehicle registration certificate. The market value of such a model is currently approximately 400 thousand hryvnias.

According to the declaration for 2024, Bohdan Chehil received 731 thousand hryvnias in salary. His wife, who works as the chief state inspector of the department for licensing trade in excisable goods at the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region, declared 407 thousand hryvnias in income.

At the same time, the family has significant savings. Bohdan Chehil keeps $52,000 in cash, and 86,000 hryvnias and $2,500 in bank accounts. His wife has $66,000 in cash and over 20,000 hryvnias in accounts. The total amount of the couple's savings exceeds 5 million hryvnias.

Career of an official

Bohdan Chehil has held the position of Head of the Main Department of the State Migration Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region since 2021.

Before that, he worked at the State Bureau of Investigation, where from 2018 to 2020 he was Deputy Director - Head of the Investigation Department of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Melitopol.

Previously, Chehil also worked as a prosecutor in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office.

In 2021, he submitted his candidacy for the position of Director of the Bureau of Economic Security.

History of mobilization

According to journalists, at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Bohdan Chehil passed a military medical examination and was found fit for military service.

On March 16, 2022, by order of the Shevchenkivskyi District Territorial Center for Recruiting and Social Support, he was enlisted as a rifleman in the military registration and enlistment office security company.

Chehil received a military serviceman's allowance of about 45 thousand hryvnias per month. In total, in 2022, he received 252 thousand hryvnias from the Dnipropetrovsk District CCC and the Joint Venture, which he declared as fees and other payments.

At the same time, migration service employees, according to journalists, claim that during this period the head was regularly at his workplace in the SMS office and signed official documents.

His service ended in August 2022. Due to a repeated military medical commission, the official was declared unfit for service due to health reasons.

On August 31, 2022, he was discharged from service and received compensation for an illness related to military service in the amount of approximately 170 thousand hryvnias.

In addition, Bohdan Chehil is trying to obtain a pension for his time working in the prosecutor's office through the courts. After serving in the army, he can also claim a military pension.

Wife's work

The official's wife, Diana Chehil, worked as a senior state inspector in the information technology sector of the Nikopol Department of the State Fiscal Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region until 2019.

After the reorganization of the State Tax Service in 2019, when the State Tax Service and the State Customs Service were created, she moved to work at the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

During this time, she worked as a senior state inspector in several structural divisions of the tax service.
