Acting Head of the Migration Service Department of Chernihiv Region Yulia Kran declared the purchase of a new BYD Song Plus electric car, having formalized the financial basis for the transaction through a "gift" from her retired mother. This was reported by 368.media, citing the official's declaration and a source in the State Migration Service.
According to the documents, in July, Yulia Kran received a cash gift of UAH 460,000 from her mother, Minenuriya Minkhatipivna Kran. These funds became part of the payment for a BYD Song Plus electric car, 2024 model year (number AA9476XS). The deal was made with KS Logistics LLC for UAH 778.3 thousand, which, as experts emphasize, is an underestimated value. The real price of such a car starts at USD 26.5 thousand and is much higher.
Kran's official salary is about 45 thousand UAH per month, of which 20 thousand UAH goes to rent an apartment in Chernihiv. At the same time, her mother has not worked for a long time. According to journalists, she worked as a waitress in Uzbekistan all her life and stopped working in 2000. Despite this, the pensioner owns an apartment in Sofiivska Borshchagovka, another one in Kyiv at 11 Chokolivs'kyi Boulevard, and since 2016 she has owned a BMW X1 (2013, white, diesel, AX7139AK).
Recently, this car was sold to Alina Sorochuk, a leading specialist in the legal support sector of the police in the Volyn region. The transaction price was UAH 467,000. Sorochuk currently works in the Gostomelsk Village Council as the chief specialist in the information technology support sector of the National Social Security Administration.
The editorial team emphasizes the discrepancy between the declared income and the real property status of Yulia Kran and her family. This case requires verification by the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Anti-Corruption Commission, because the version with a "gift" from a pensioner looks like a classic money laundering scheme.
