In the Chernivtsi region, law enforcement officers documented the fact of abuse of office by the head of one of the village councils.
According to police, the 65-year-old official systematically issued orders to accrue additional payments in the form of bonuses. As a result of such actions, about 100,000 hryvnias were unjustifiably spent from the local budget.
Law enforcement officers informed the woman of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - misappropriation or embezzlement of property through abuse of official position.
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway, which is intended to establish all the circumstances of the case and provide a legal assessment of the official's actions.
