On November 26, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court ruled to seize property owned by the head of the Mlynivka village council of Rivne region, Dmytro Levytskyi, into state ownership. The total value of the confiscated assets is about UAH 5.8 million.
As reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the basis for considering the case was the materials of the National Police of Rivne Region and the inspection conducted by the NACP. Although the SAPO did not officially name the official, sources of "Ukrainian Truth" confirmed that it was the head of the Mlynivka Village Council, Dmytro Levytsky.
The court found the origin of a number of assets registered to family members of the official to be unfounded:
• a residential building with an area of 230 sq. m and a land plot of almost 9 acres in the central part of Rivne, which are worth about 4.2 million UAH and were purchased by Levytsky's mother-in-law at the end of 2019;
• a boat worth almost 1 million UAH;
• a land plot of 0.25 hectares;
• a special truck — all this the family acquired in 2023.
According to the court, the official was unable to prove the legality of the origin of the funds needed to purchase the property, so the assets were deemed unfounded and decided to be confiscated.
The decision of the Supreme Court of Justice may be appealed within 30 days from the date of the full text of the court verdict.
This is not the first time that anti-corruption authorities have sought confiscation of dubious assets of officials through the court. Previously, the Supreme Court of Ukraine for Corruption Prevention and Control recognized as unfounded over UAH 5.3 million of the property of the former head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Odessa region. Then, two luxury cars were confiscated - a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 (2018) and an Audi RSQ8 (2020), purchased by the family of the former official at significantly reduced prices - UAH 300 thousand and UAH 1.4 million, respectively.
